Julie & Ellen,
I feel so bad that I was unaware of your mother's passing. Margaret was such an inspiration to all of us at the Girl Scout Council. The office lit up when she came through the door and she remained a friend after she retired the second time. We so appreciated her coming back to do Product Sales. Funny, I am doing "her job" with Product Sales now. I would have been at her funeral if I had known. We hope you see this. I will try to find addresses for you.
Thank you for making our Council your memorial gift. That is very thoughtful of you.

Julie & Ellen,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was much more than a Scout leader to many of us blessed to be in her troop. She was also a dear friend that we treasured dearly.

Ellen and Julie, I worked with Margaret at Wheatbelt Council for many years before she retired. She taught me everything I knew. She was a true friend and we continued to stay in touch for many years. She was a truly wonderful person and made an positive difference in so many lives- including mine. I am so sorry I cannot come to her funeral today but will continue to keep her and your family in my prayers. God Bless.

Dear Ellen and Julie,
I sent a card to Ellen ' s House for both of you, didn't have Julie ' s address. Your mom was a wonderful lady and will be missed by the many Girl Scouts she devoted her life to including me. We will never know how many lives she touched through her Scouting years. I was so lucky to have had her as my Scout leader and friend when growing up in Hutchinson. Thank you all for sharing your family with us. Love and hugs to all of you! Linda Coats

Dear Family,
I knew your mother through Girl Scouts. She was the epitome of Girl Scouting - cheerful, a good worker, and dedicated to helping girls achieve those same characteristics. You girls were lucky to have such a loving mother. Many other girls were lucky to have someone like her who cared enough to make their success her life's work.

I was blessed to be able to spend some time with Margaret while she was staying with her daughter Ellen. Margaret had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile that I will never forget. Loved our conversations and I will miss her.
