Memories & Condolences

I went to hutch high, with a guy named Jerry Crane. We also went to the automotive tech on the west side of main street in the morning part of the school day. I remember Jerry buying a corvette, seams to me it was in primer. I went into the army in 1974, I never saw Jerry again, but I often wondered how he was doing. Very sad news, was very fun to be around. Sorry for the lose of Jerry, wish you all well.

Phyllis, my heart is broken and I can only imagine what a difficult time this is for you. Jerry was and will always be a part of my life. I remember his charm and his sense of humor.....how that man could make me laugh! Thank you for reconnecting with me last year. Maybe, in some small way, I helped. He was truly one of a kind and I will miss him.

~ Donna Hosso - November 13, 2012

We loved seeing Jerry come by our office! He came by often and always made us laugh. He also makes a great batch of cinnamon rolls and cookies. He will be missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure to know him.

My Thoughts and Prayers are with you today and every day that follows, Jerry was such a Kind & Gentle Soul and everyone will miss him dearly. My Love to All of the Family. Will miss seeing him with the Sunday morning group that comes in for breakfast, I'll have a Diet Coke in his memory, maybe two!!

Aunt Phyllis and family,
I was so sorry to learn of Jerry's death. Whenever I ran into him around town he was always so warm and happy. I don't ever remember a time when I didn't see him with his great big smile. When I think of him I think of his outgoing personality and smile. One of my first memories of him was when I was very young and went to your house, and saw Jerry on a skateboard. I'd never seen a skateboard before, but he had it mastered. I'm sure you have many fond memories of him to help you through this difficult time. He will be missed.

~ Monica Crane Klassen - November 8, 2012

Jerry is one of a kind. We will all miss him so. The man that would give the shirt of his back and ask if you needed more. His smile was so heartwarming. God be with your friends and family who love you so much, Jerry.

Even though we haven't met Jerry Crane our hearts our deeply saddened by his passing. We know that he was an amazing man and father. It shows in two of the most generous, loving, giving people we know, Melinda and Mark. We are so blessed to have a small piece of Jerry in Garrett, Melinda and Mark. Our hearts go out to Mark and Melinda, his mom, and extended family, but also to all who knew and loved Jerry. You all have our deepest sympathy.

I was so saddened to learn of Jerry's death. He was truly one of the most kindest people that I have ever had the privilege to know. I saw Jerry just a few months ago - he had his usual big smile and twinkle in his eye. I'm so grateful that I got to give him a hug - that is what I will remember! You will be missed my friend. I pray that your family and all of your many friends will find comfort and peace.

I am really going to miss you Jerry Ray.. Although I had to be in the deepest and darkest part of my life when I met you at The Reno County Jail.. You always treated me with much respect and like a human being and not a low life criminal... You were the first person that gave me hope that there was another life out there without crime & drugs.. I am glad that we remained friends after I turned my life around.. and hey.. I even bought a car from you... I will truly miss you and will never forget you... May you Rest In Peace my friend...

~ Shannon Hauschild - November 7, 2012

Most of the memories that we shared, I was too young to really remember. But all the memories that I do remember make me smile. The lives that you touched, and the people you influenced will continue your legacy. Thanks you for everything. You will be greatly missed my friend.

~ Cody R. Gibbens - November 7, 2012

Dear Phyllis & family, I am so sorry for your loss. While I realize it has been a number of years since I have seen you, I have such wonderful memories of all the good times. Praying for you and hoping you can take comfort in knowing Jerry was loved by so many people and is now in a better place.

R.I.P. my dear friend .you will truly be missed

~ judy metz - November 7, 2012

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Jerry, my daughter, Kelly, is so blessed to be engaged to his son Mark. If a son carries on a legacy from his parents, then Mark is definitely one shining example. He is polite, courteous, generous and has such a great personality and wonderful sense of humor. We were all looking forward to meeting Jerry and the rest of Mark's family at Kelly and Mark's wedding on November 30th of this year. We already had the pleasure of meeting Melinda and her adorable son Garrett.

We wish the family of Jerry nothing but happy memories when remembering the spirit of Jerry. Our condolences go out to his entire extended family.

~ Kathy and Duane McGrath - November 7, 2012
