Margaret F. “Maggie” Hollinger, 89, died Jan. 19, 2015 at Hospice House. She was born July 21, 1925 in Raymond, KS, the daughter of Floyd R. and Dora “Fern” Silver Manwarren.
She was a Lyons High School graduate and had received her Teaching Certificate from McPherson College. She had retired as the Business Manager for Reno County Education Coop. She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, was an avid reader of mystery books, and devoted to her two cats, Sam and Goldie.
On Nov. 28, 1945 she married John J. Hollinger in Mitchell, KS, he died May, 14, 2004. Other survivors include two daughters; Brooke Eldredge (Dale), Fayetteville, AR, Dorcee Ayres (Tim), Partridge, KS, a brother, Dean Manwarren (Joyce), Hot Springs National Park, AR, a sister-in-law, Fern Manwarren, Hutchinson, KS, a granddaughter, Ashley Morris (Jason) and a great-granddaughter, Paisley, all of San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Eldredge, a brother Martin and a sister, Barbara.
A private family memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Reno County in care of the funeral home.
