Susan Marie Harms, 56, died December 18, 2014 at her home, Hutchinson. She was born February 14, 1958 in McPherson, the daughter of Gustaf and Naomi Scheikofsky Nelson. She was a graduate of McPherson High School. A resident of Hutchinson the last 23 years. She married Robert Harms on July 8, 1988. He survives.

Other survivors include her mother, Naomi Lackey, Hutchinson, a daughter, Lydia Turnbull and husband Andrew, Hutchinson, and a granddaughter, Rosaline Turnbull.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Sonja Nelson.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9AM to 9PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.
