Laverne E. Rasing, 87, died Dec. 5, 2014 at the Broomfield Skilled Nursing Center, Broomfield, CO. She was born March 24, 1927, in Warrensburg, MO, the daughter or Lunas and Wilma Kneedler Fickas. She had received her BS in teaching from the University of Central Missouri. She was a teacher, school secretary, and a mother. She was of the Catholic faith. A resident of Broomfield, CO most recently,she had also lived in Hutchinson, among several other places, during her life. She married Robert A. Rasing on August 7, 1950 in Warrensburg, MO. He died August 30, 1990.
Survivors include 3 children, Toni Wendt, Teri McPhaul, and Tim Rasing, a sister, Lynette Wilson, and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ledelle Wilborn and a brother, Rufus Fickas.
