Ruth Anzo Ramirez was born July 18, 1921, in Garden City, Kansas, to Rafael M. and Concepcion Alatorre Anzo. She passed away on August 16, 2014 in Emporia, KS. She was a long time resident of Hutchinson, KS.
Ruth married Ralph Ramirez in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1961. They had four children who survive. She later married Robert Perez in 1998. He survives.
She is survived by children Steven (Jody) Ramirez of Andover, KS, Martin (Seena) Ramirez of Hutchinson, KS, Josephine Pearce of Newport, OR, Christina (Stephen) Pletcher of Emporia, and step-son Charles (Patty) Perez of Englewood, CO.
Also surviving are grandchildren Michael (Becky) Ramirez, Jason (Roxanne)Ramirez, Douglas (Angela) Ramirez, Jennifer Ramirez, Dane (Andrea) Pletcher, Andrew(Anjeanette) Ramirez, Danielle (Mike) DiMarzio, Wiley Pearce, Dessa (Shane) Gifford, Carmen Ramirez, and Johanna Ramirez, and great-grandchildren Preston Ramirez, Zack Leas, Joseph Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, Ava Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez, Jacob Ramirez, Alyssa Ramirez, Claire Pletcher, Mena DiMarzio, Shylah Ferris, Callie Pletcher, Derek DiMarzio, and Trent Pletcher.
She is also survived by brothers Jesse Anzo, Weed, CA, and Augustine Anzo, Fountain Valley, CA; sisters, Helen Alonzo, Hutchinson, KS, Alice Trujillo, Sylmar, CA, and Raphaela Garcia, Hutchinson, KS, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Andrew, Phillip, Joe, Delfino (Tony), and Ralph Anzo, and a sister, Wanda Strouse.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 22, 2014, 7:00-9:00 PM, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 300 East 30th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS.
