Jeanne Hawk, 78, passed away March 5, 2014, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Myrl Kenneth Ashworth and Velda Abrams Ashworth. Jeanne was born April 1, 1935 on the family farm north of Macksville, KS, and was of the Christian faith.
She graduated from Macksville High School in 1953 and from Adela Hale Business College, Hutchinson, in 1954. She then interned at Channel 12 in Hutchinson before going into banking and worked for Kansas Farmer's Service, Federal Land Bank, and Farm Credit Services, all in Hutchinson. She retired as a vice-president from Farm Credit Services in 1995. Jeanne was an avid gardener, very talented in arts and crafts, and (along with husband Bob) enjoyed DIY home remodeling. She was also a very accomplished ragtime pianist and loved to travel and camp every chance she had.
She married Gerald Walline in 1954 and they divorced in 1970. In 1983, she married Robert Hawk from Macksville. He survives. Other survivors include son, Michael Walline (Linda) of Carbondale, KS, stepsons, Kyle Hawk (Tammy) of McPherson, KS, Troy Hawk of Salina, KS, and stepdaughter, Tacy Hawk, CA, granddaughters, Ashley Rockelmann (Paul) of Durango, CO, and Alison Walline of LaMesa, CA, great-grandson, Caleb Rockelmann, brothers, Robert Ashworth (Dedria) of Arlington, KS, Ronald Ashworth (Retha), sisters, Janice Murphy (Robert), and Nancy Douglas, all of Larned, KS, her beloved dogs Scooter & Shadow, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Brent Walline, and her brother Richard Ashworth.
