1921 - 2014

Elizabeth F. Wright, McPherson, formerly of Dwight, KS, died Feb. 28, 2014 at the Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born April 13, 1921 in Oak Creek, CO, the daughter of Harold and Ida Stewart Fulton. She was a graduate of Denver High School and had attended KU. She worked as a postal clerk for the US Post Office in Dwight, KS for approximately 30 years. She was a Storekeeper 2nd Class in the United States Navy, during WWII. She was a member of the Dwight Presbyterian Church, the Dwight American Legion, and was a Girl Scout Leader. She married Harold "Chub" Wright on August 25, 1946 in Lawrence. He died October 7, 1983.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Ingermanson (Daryl), McPherson, 3 sons, Hal Wright (Phyllis), McPherson, Stewart Wright, McPherson, and James Wright, Herndon, VA, 5 grandchildren, Patrick Sullivan, Rachel and Emily Wright, Sarah May (Justin), and Tess Ingermanson, and 2 great grandchildren, Landon and Gavin May.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Don and James Fulton.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at the Dwight Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Ronald Phelps presiding. Inurnment will follow at the Dwight Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dwight Presbyterian Church or the Dwight American Legion, both in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
