Arthur “Art” Starrett, 89, of Hutchinson, departed this life Nov. 16, 2013, at his home. He was born Dec. 4, 1923 in Neodesha, KS, the son of Jack E. and Buenta Mae Wilkinson Starrett.
Art is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorina “Sandi” Starrett, and his children, Tomi Ann and Bill Foust, Marci and Mark Hoffhines, all of Hutchinson, Kristi and Steven Sandeen of Westcliffe, CO, Jack and Helen Starrett and Jeff and Gina Starrett, all of Denver, CO, sister Eleanor Louise Simpson of Rogers, AR, In-Laws, Thomas E. and Joy Salmon of Colorado Springs, CO and Beverly Salmon of Fairfield, CA, Grandchildren ; Eric, Monika, Ashli, Jakob, Ben, Arielle, Justin and Joshua, great-grandson Dominik, five nieces and three nephews and their children and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and at Art’s request there will be no services. Memorials may be given to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Reno Co. in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
