Deborah Kay “Debbie” Davis, 61, died Friday, September 20, 2013 in Sedgwick County, Kansas.

She was born September 7, 1952 in Sterling, Kansas, the daughter of Donald and Millie Moore Nelson.

A 1970 graduate of Sterling High School, she was a receptionist for 12 years for the State of Kansas Social Rehabilitation Services, Lyons office. Debbie was a Rice County United Way and Salvation Army volunteer and served as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence advocate for the Rice County Council. She volunteered and served the Rice County community proudly.

On July 3, 1987 she married James Martin Davis in Hutchinson. He survives.

Debbie is also survived by her children, Kristi (Greg) Klein of Sterling, Jason Joyner of Lyons, Becki Davis and Megan (Bill) Crawford both of Great Bend; one brother; six sisters; and eight grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden, Kansas with Pastor Kirby Kennedy presiding. A register book will be available at the service. Cremation has taken place.
