Helen L. Borrowman, 77, of Hutchinson, went to be with our Lord, Feb. 27, 2013 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1935 in Alamosa, CO, the daughter of Roy A. and Eva H. Conrad Hale.
She had been employed at the former Risley’s IGA Store in South Hutchinson, she was a homemaker and was a Foster Parent for 22 years, caring for over 100 children. She also had a love for crocheting and ceramic work.
On Feb. 22, 1955 she married Robert Borrowman in Nebo, IL. Survivors include her husband Robert, of the home, children; Mike Borrowman, Hutchinson, Debbie Good, Burrton, KS, Brenda Borrowman, Independence, MO, Levi Borrowman, Shelby Borrowman, both of Hutchinson, brothers; Roy Hale Jr., Hutchinson, Bill Hale, Gulf Port, MS, ten grandchildren; Chandra Czapanskiy, Casey and Cody Borrowman, Wesley, Corey, Jesse, Aliyah and Madison Good, Ryan and Chad McCurdy, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Borrowman, and her parents, Roy and Eva Hale.
Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Sat. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Heneha presiding. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with the family present from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
