Jack A. Moll, 90, died Jan. 9, 2013 at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Jan. 24, 1922, the son of Nelson and Alice Logan Moll. He was a lifetime Hutchinson resident.
He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and had recently retired from Borton Inc., where he had worked since the early 1960’s as an Engineer. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He belonged to the Hutchinson Iris Club and was an avid swimmer at the YMCA as well as an avid reader and friend of the Hutchinson Public Library.
On June 6, 1981 he married Arlene Harper Leikam in Hutchinson. Survivors include his wife of the home, two children from a previous marriage, Charles Moll, Hutchinson, Jackie Loughridge, Lyons, two stepsons; Wayne Leikam Jr., Hutchinson and Jeff Leikam, Wymore, NE, brother Lawrence Moll, Ohio, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons; Douglas and Roger, five brothers; Roscoe, Darrell, Glen, Nelson, and Roland and a sister, Winifred Baumhardt.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Sat. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Salvation Army or the Hutchinson Public Library.
