Edward W. Combs, 80, of rural Burrton, died Sept. 21, 2012, at his home. He was born March 5, 1932, at Langdon, KS, the son of Bert A. and Myrl A. Schweitzer Combs.
He was a graduate of Langdon High School and Kansas State University. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He had formerly worked for Jackson's Ice Cream of Denver before Owning and Operating MVRC, Denver, CO.
Survivors include: a son, Terry Combs and wife Cindy; two daughters; Sue Redd, and Sandy Post, all of Hutchinson; a brother, J.D. Combs, Hutchinson; a sister, Judy Hostetler, Inman; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his two dogs Red and Blue.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Marion, and Merle, and two sisters, Juanita Ransom and Oneita Dickson.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no public service. Memorial
contributions may be given to Reins of Hope, or the donor's choice, in care of
Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory.
