Thomas S. “Sarge” Myers, 70, died May 14, 2015, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. He was born June 11, 1944 in Sterling, KS, the son of Marion G. and Virginia J. Jeter Myers.
He was a graduate of Alden High School. He was retired from Sterling Drilling, and the Alden Volunteer Fire Department, as Assistant Chief. He was a life member of the Alden American Legion and life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a United States Army veteran and was in the U.S. Army Signal Corps.
On November 5, 1976 he married Minnie Moore in Lyons, KS, she survives of the home. Other survivors include his children; Ed Kocher, Russ Kocher (Sheila), Alden, KS, Marie Kruger (Vince), Uehling, NE, Tony Myers (Crysti), Yvonne Cargile (Randal), Texas, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorials may be given to Pleasant View Home or the Alden Volunteer Fire Department in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory.
