Cecelia "Cece" Joyceteen Cherry, 61, died July 17, 2014 at the Olathe Medical Center. She was born August 4, 1952 in Wichita, the daughter of Billy Jack and Wynona Lee Jenkins Cherry. Cecelia became an entertainer early on in her life where she sang and danced professionally. Later in her life, she married and settled in as a waitress, working until she was no longer able. She later divorced.

Survivors include her mother, Wynona Cherry, a son, Renardo Lamont Cherry, siblings, Beverly Shelton, Gerry Cherry, Terry Cherry, and Emmett West.

She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Billi Cherry.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 1st at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, with Reverend William J. Green presiding. Inurnment will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign a register book from 9AM to 9PM Thursday, July 31st at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to National MS Society.
