Stephen Ray Butts went home to the Lord on July 2, 2014. After persevering through many illnesses, he is now whole, he is healed, and he is worshiping forever. The victory is the Lord’s.
Steve was born on February 18, 1949. He loved, followed, worshiped, and served the Lord from the age of 5. He is remembered by his ever-present smile, infectious joy, and his desire to share about Jesus with everyone he met.
Steve’s legacy is held and cherished by his family: wife, Mary Butts; three daughters and their husbands, Lindsay and Jeremy Welch, Haley and Steve Wilscam, and Rachel and Storm Davis; brother and wife, Norman and Becky Butts; father and wife, Bill and Mary Butts; 5 adoring grandchildren, Rebekah, Savannah Kay, Wyatt, Mason, and Whitley; and family-in-Christ, the family of Jim and Luann Blay.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Christ’s victory over death and remember Steve’s life on Saturday, July 5 at Cross Point Church, 1410 E 30th, Hutchinson, KS, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Steve desired donations to be sent to Cross Point Building Fund so as to further the Kingdom of Christ.
