Dorothy J. Immesote, 90, died March 28, 2014 at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born July 31, 1923 in Bucyrus, KS, the daughter of Aubrey and Odessa Kirby Lemon. A resident of Hutchinson since 1941, she worked as a cook for Winans Grade School, retiring in 1986. She was a volunteer at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. She married Floyd Immesote in Hutchinson in 1941. He died February 14, 1995.
Survivors include 2 sons, Tom Immesote, AZ and Michael Immesote, Pensacola, FL, 3 daughters, Valle Lang, Wichita, Connie Anderson, Oklahoma City, OK, and Kathy Mingo, Wynne, AR, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey presiding. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 1-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
