Ernestine Frances Sanchez, 81, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2013 at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born September 28, 1931 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest Frank and Blanche Laura (Snyder) Hinkle.
Born and raised in Hutchinson, she had resided in Denver, CO, Geneseo, KS, and most recently in Topeka, KS.
Ernestine worked as a CNA at the former Haven Friendship Manor, and was a home health aide for Hospice of Reno County. She was a devoted homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Guadalupe M. Palmatier (Frank), Hutchinson, Pablo D. Sanchez, Jr. (Gretchen), Hutchinson, Dolores R. Burkes (J.R.), Beaumont, TX, Maria Luz Oliver, Denver, CO, Victoria F. McPherson (Dennis Reese), Topeka, Feliciano Hunter Sanchez, Geneseo, and Raquel F. DeGarmo (Bruce Hargett), Hutchinson; grandson, Richard Gochenour, Geneseo as well as 18 other grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and her ex-husband, Pablo D. Sanchez, Sr., Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by one of her daughters, Yolanda Rutledge; her parents, Ernest and Blanche Hinkle; a granddaughter, Sheila Crenshaw Walden; and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 26, 2013 at Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson with Father Ned J. Blick presiding.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Saturday and from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday with family present from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, Hutchinson.
