Bill Thomas was born on June 6, 1922, in Dodge City, KS, and passed away on February 21, 2015, in Hutchinson, KS. He isthe son of Albert E. and Nellie D. Mead Thomas. He grew up in Dodge City, KS.

On May 27, 1942, he married June Hoehn inDodge City, KS. He served in the Squadron A, 1074th Army Air Force Base Unit in Spokane, WA, during World War II. In 1967 he moved to Hutchinson, KS. He retired from the Santa Fe Railway in 1982.

He was a member of the Dodge City First Assembly of God Church and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Hutchinson, KS.
Survivors are wife, June Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Elna Bushel, Lucille Brown, and Marjorie Stevens.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Hutchinson, KS, and funeral services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Hutchinson, KS, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 2:00 PM.
