Marilyn D. Luginbill, 73, died July 13, 2015 at her home in Hutchinson, with her family at her side. She was born March 26, 1942 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ralph D. and Leota Honn Henry. She was a 1960 graduate of Hutchinson High School and had received her Associates Degree in business from Hutchinson Community College. She retired from Data Center, Inc., after 16 years of service in tech support. She married Orville C. Luginbill on February 14, 1964 in Hutchinson. He died December 25, 2002.
Survivors include 4 children, Cristina Pritchard (Wayne), Hutchinson, Deanna Bergman (Eric), South Hutchinson, Jason Luginbill, Topeka, and Kara Luginbill (Kyle Smith), Easton, KS, 2 siblings, Walter Henry, Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Norman Henry (Ruth), Mt. Juliet, TN, a sister in law, RuthAnn Henry, Cookeville, TN, grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Davignon (Heather), Dr. Cathleen Adams (Joshua), Brandi Greathouse, and Heather Greathouse, 5 great grandchildren, with one on the way, and her best friend and traveling companion, Pat Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Rev. Dr. Wesley L. Henry, and a great grandson, Owen Graham Adams.
Cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Amy Claassen presiding. Inurnment will follow at the Halstead Cemetery, Halstead. A book will be available to be signed Friday, August 14, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the family present from 6 8PM that evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of their local cancer or animal welfare charity.
