Elaine S. Bright, 62, died September 26, 2014 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born July 6, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of William and Maurine Noble Ackerman. She was a graduate of Norwood High School, Cincinnati, OH. A resident of Hutchinson since 1980, she had previously lived in Junction City for 10 years. She had worked in the receiving room for Pegeus Department Store and was in sales at Peel's Beauty Supply.

Survivors include a step-son, Justin Bright, Buhler and a step grandson, Killian Bright, Buhler.

Cremation is planned. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Ned Blick presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
