Marceline E. Johanning, 85, died August 10, 2014 at her home in Nickerson. She was born April 7, 1929 in Lyons, the daughter of John and Clara Massey McAllister. She was a graduate of Nickerson High School. A resident of Nickerson most of her life, she was a happy homemaker. She was a member of Nickerson United Methodist Church. On August 30, 1948, she married Victor Johanning in Nickerson. He died in 1996.
Survivors include 2 sons, Gary Johanning, Nickerson and Jerry Johanning (Andrea), Wichita, a daughter, Teri Johanning, South Hutchinson, 3 brothers, Cliff McAllister and Elton McAllister, both of Nickerson and Mont McAllister, Dodge City, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Curtis Johanning, 2 brothers, Pete and Zack McAllister, and a grandson, Dustin Beshears.
Cremation is planned. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Melissa Naylor presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice, in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
