Ferdinand C. Hawkins, 77, of Hutchinson, died April 16, 2014 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1936 in Neosho, MO the son of William LeRoy and Dova Heyworth Hawkins.

He was a graduate of Neosho High School and was a United States Navy Veteran. He had worked for Borton Inc. for 37 years and was the Electrical Superintendent.

March 16, 1996 he married Virginia (Williamson) Swallow in Hutchinson, she survives of the home. Other survivors include a step-daughter, Laura Terranova, Fairhope, AL and a sister, Erma Dean McCann, Elsmore, KS. He was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm Monday at Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be 9:00am to 9:00pm Sat. and 1:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to First Call for Help in care of the funeral home.
