Fern L. Couch, 83, died September 27, 2014 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1930 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Fred and Lucille Day Wise. A resident of Hutchinson all of her life, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by 2 sons, Bud Brown, Hutchinson and Claude Bell (Linda Richardson), South Hutchinson, 4 daughters, Beverly Frederick(Earl), TX, Barb Crabbs, Sterling, Peggy Nixon(Mark), OK, and Toni Gagnebin(Rock), Hutchinson, siblings, Dorothy Bowley, CO, Helen Shinkle, Las Vegas, NV, Harold Wise, CO, and Flora, Cora, Linda, and Rex, all of Kansas, 8 Grandchildren, Chelee Bath, Jason Brown, Lisa Hughes, Kris Groves, Justin Brown, Lori Nixon, Devin Gagnebin, and Jarod Gagnebin, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marilyn Ipock.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Rick Goertzen presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 9AM to 9PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
