Martin Salazar Salas, 88, Hutchinson, died September 24, 2014 at his home, Hutchinson. He was born January 26, 1926 in Moctezuma, SLP, Mexico, the son of Jose Salazar and Feliciana Salas.

He was a farmer, living in Mexico and Hutchinson, Kansas. He attended of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

He married Francisca Moreno on May 31, 1962 in Moctezuma, SLP, Mexico. She survives.

Other survivors include five Sons, Francisco Salazar of Hutchinson, KS, Andres Salazar of Mexico, Jose Salazar of Hutchinson, KS, Cornelio Salazar of Hutchinson, KS, Jose Martin Salazar of Mexico; six Daughters, Ofelia Smith of Hutchinson, KS, Juana Salazar of Mexico, Martha Salazar of Mexico, Silvia Salazar of Mexico, Antonia Salazar of Mexico, Feliciana Salazar of Mexico; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 48 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, with a rosary being recited at 7:30 PM Tuesday, with Father Ned Blick presiding, all at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will take place in Moctezuma, SLP, Mexico.
