Elaina L. Puls, 67, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Wheat State Manor, Whitewater, KS. She was born December 4, 1946 in Newton, the daughter of Wilford and Donna Wyer Nusser. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Des Moines, IA. She was an archeologist for the Smithsonian Institute and had served in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1988. She married Jon Puls and they later divorced.
Survivors include a brother, Lee Nusser, Maryland, 2 sisters, Marilynn Quidachay and Nancy Porter, both of Hutchinson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dianna Miller.
Cremation is planned. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, July 18th at Attica Cemetery, Attica, with Chaplain Bill Eichelberger presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hutchinson Humane Society, in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
