On April 19, 2014, after a brave fight, Russell L. Warrington, 67, left his earthly home headed for a better place. He was born June 25, 1946 in Hardtner, KS, the son of Harry H. and Pauline Coggins Warrington.
He was retired from Missouri-Pacific Railroad. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion.
On June 30, 1968, he married Vickie Gregg in Kiowa, KS, she survives. Other survivors include daughters: Traci Warrington, South Hutchinson, Tammi Warrington and Tonya Warrington, both of Hutchinson, sister, Ruth Ann Hawkins, Wichita, brothers: Robert of Hazelton, Ronnie of Howard, Monte of South Hutchinson, Jerry of Hutchinson and a brother-in-law, Kent Gregg of Alva, OK, four grandchildren: Julia and Joshua Tritsch, Jacob Warrington and Eben Russell Warrington. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Jean Warrington, his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Memorial service will be 10:00am Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with Chaplain Amy Claassen presiding. There will be a book to sign from 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Memorials may be given to Hospice and Homecare of Reno County or to Cancer Council of Reno County.
